Common Medication Which Cant Take With Grape Fruit



Grape Fruit contain quercetin and flavonoid which will inhibit the drug metabolism in the liver and lead to symptom of overdose toxicity.

• Nifedipine

Quercetin in grape fruit will inhibit the metabolism of calcium channel blocker which lead to symptom of overdoasge. Hypotension might occur in patient

• Triazolam

Quercetin and flavonoid will lead to inhibitation of hepatic metabolism. Dizziness or Unconciousness might occur since overdoasage of the medication. Patient are advised not to take the medication 2 hour pre and post take the grape fruit.

• Terfenadine
  

This medication is used to treat asthma , fungal infection and as anti histamine. Quercetin and flavonoid will lead to inhibitation of hepatic metabolism. This might lead to arrhythmia (irregular heart beat in our body.)
